Well we are short staffed and JMing again.
And it's OCT.
Mark Z said the company wants to be properly staffed for the slow times of the year and we would just have to JM for the other.
...
What is the slow time of year again?
April 8th? The morning of?

Are you saying CA's are getting calls? I know FO's seem to be active but not had many JM calls in a while. But that would happen when you recall about 40 and only upgrade a handful. There does seem to be SLIGHTLY more CA open time then I remember in a while.... And total lines arent really decreasing next month... Hours SLIGHTLY but who knows.... People start timing out soon!

The way we find out about recalls is when a furloughed guy posts a message on the ALPA board saying he got a call for a class date.

In other words, the company doesn't let us know about recalls before, during, or after calls go out.

Even with the recalls earlier this year I still belive we are under staffed but I don't forsee any more reacalls this year or early next year. We will problably recall again and maybe hire IF and WHEN mainline recalls IF they honor the few that are here that were "hired" a while ago.

Unfortunately JR would not be the best source for that. Reason I say that is because last time we all found out, via forums etc., before he and or WB knew about such..... They actually found out after we asked them about it and DOJR at the same confirmed such.... Anyways with that I would say we are a LOT better staffed then we were. HOWEVER when you only upgrade a handful and recall 40 it leaves you in a rather less then favorable position..... With that attrition is slow if not happening at all.... The best thing we can HOPE for is that some of the pilots hire at Mainline are asked to go to a class.... If that happens then I cannot see as to how we would not recall some more....

If I hear anything I will let you know.... Myself and the furlough coordinator try to get updates about such from HR.... As of my last convo there were nothing in the talks. However, we were not planning on doing more FA's this year and that has changed recently due to the Holidays and people leaving..... Hang in there.... HOPEFULLY soon...

I guess it was confirmed today that there will be 6 recalls for a November 29th class.
