What we need are upgrades. CLT had 20 Captains on reserve in May. June we are picking up more flying. Have only 14 Captains on reserve. We lost 6 due to military and extra lines. TYS is down 4 Captains because of military duty. Don't know about DAY.
Bottom line is that the abuse is going to be severe in June/July. Be prepared to work 20 days/month at 14hrs/day.

You'd think our new DO would get it and stand up to who ever the numb nuts is that insists on running this place so thin. I've been getting Junior Man calls EVERY day I have off for the last couple weeks (sometimes twice a day.) I wouldn't dare answer my phone and it'd be nice if no one else answered.

This is not how you run a safe, efficient operation. Those poor schedulers sound like depressed telemarketers being forced to cold call 100 folks who either hangup or won't answer just to get that one guy. If I were a scheduler I'd tell the higher ups to go pizz up a rope but then again at PSA they'd remind them that they don't get paid enough to think. You think.. you get fired.

I don't really like to read into things so I'm more or less indifferent, but a lot of people have read the email from mgt regarding recalls and say that it sounds like the recalls have only just started and like the classes may continue beyond just the 16 so far. Again, take it for what it's worth.

Seriously... And what base is this? PHX? I hope not. I hope they open Akron again before I am recalled. I'll bid the crap out of that place.
