We, as pilots, can always commute for a job. I've told my fiancée I'd move (within reason) where she could get a job she enjoys.
QOL isn't great in the best cases when commuting. So if you can make a change early on where you won't take a huge hit in seniority to make life easier... Why not try? You may not get the base you want from the start, but at least it will be an option in the future
Best of luck!!

They aren't wanting to commute any more so why would they give up seniority from one regional to commute to another when they're trying to avoid commuting? Awac has kcae rumors but clt or gso (especially gso with rah already having a base) makes little sense. Cae already has mx for awac and makes sense.
Both are regionals but living in base beats any pay or benefit awac would have in my mind. Plus PSA are in negotiations and it can only get better. Haven't had our mgt asking for concessions to gain flying like some have.

think of how much money you spend on commuting. Not just the crashpad itself but eating out for a week on end, transportation, hotels, etc....Now even though your taking a paycut to be based at home, you will have far fewer expenses and first year pay is actually livable. The ability to pick up even just one day trip a month will also be a huge factor in supplementing your income. You will not even imagine how much better life will be being able to drive to work.
