I agree with you Skydude, and it's all my speculation on whether or not we would have shut down. I can say though that had there been a no vote, the 900's would have gone elsewhere and the growth of PSA would have stagnated. If there is ever a time for EVERYBODY to unify it is now. Jump seat wars, my regional is better then your regional is getting tirelessly old. I am one of the older guys here, mid 40's and it's time that we all treat each other with a little respect and dignity. Unfortunately what's done is done, and we can't change that, but what we can change is how we treat one another and act. It's a long shot, but what the heck, it's worth a try.

Lets put the gloves down and talk rationaly here. You hit the nail on the head. The problem is that PSA is very small. 32 200's and 14 700's. A pilot group with now just over 500, not nearly the size of Eagle. All Parker cares about are metrics! On-time performance and right start.. Oh and Fuel consumption. Bottom line he does not care about us and being wholly owned, he can shutter us at the snap of his fingers.
It would go like this on the golf course with his drinking buddy J.O. Hey Jerry, want 30+ next Gen 900's to fly for me? However, I will not pay you a penny more, the only thing you get are new planes and a contract extension, oh and I have 14 700's you can add to the mix, sound good? Great, lets get a drink! Phone call to Keith Houke, you are finsihed, I will begin to park your 200's and farm that flying to AWAC or Skywest. Take care now...
So was it a scare tactic, who knows, however, we really do not offer much to Doug except for being RED ink on his expense sheet. Now, as far as shuttering Eagle, you guys provide an exceptional amount of lift, however, Doug is a numbers guy, has been and always will be. So only time will tell if he goes through with his threats. All I know is the regional industry is a mess and the only winners are management.

J.O. and "Jerry" are 2 different CEO's...

Everything in this industry is purely speculative, you know that! I was simply trying to state one point of view on the many that are out there. Not interested in getting into a pi$$ing match on the rights and wrongs. Like I said, we can not change what has happened or the vote that was cast, but we can move on and learn from it!!

I love people who say "let's not get into my regional is better than yours argument." "All regionals suck." If you're comparing them to mainline that's true. But you might want to actually compare them to other regionals. And where do people draw the line? How about 4 year max FO pay? How about starting again at year 1 CA pay? How about paying to fly for a regional? Where exactly is the line? To PSA guys I have to ask. How would you feel if regional xyz in two weeks accepted concessions and then Parker comes back to you and says "give up your SAP or we're taking all those promised jets and putting them at regional xyz?" Wouldn't you guys be angry? Part of learning from the past is recognizing when a mistake was made. Clearly the PSA concession was a big one.

PSA's upgrade time is down to 4 and a half years swiftly headed towards three.
PSA FO pay is maxed out at 4 years.
PSA CA pay does not reset to year 1. If you upgrade at year 6 you are at year 6 CA pay.

The point was what if these concessions keep getting voted in because of the constant downward pressure these concessions make in the first place. What if another airline votes in reset CA pay and they want you to match that and take away your SAP to keep those new airplanes that were promised to you? Wouldn't you be mad about that?

And what if a North Korean defector hijacked a plane, and crashed it onto a busy highway in Japan?
What if what if.
