PSA in DFW April 30th

My issue with PSA and it's contract is this: maybe it works out for you guys(PSA), but management wants to give others the same deal. But in various forms, which may not be good at all. The big regionals have said no. If they said yes, all regionals would be in trouble of getting crap deals in fear of shutting down. All thanks to PSA.
But I forgot, you only care about yourself.

Get. Real.
I think that's the problem with a lot of new regional guys. A lot of them were patted on the behind, and told they were doing a good job, and it's ok when you lose. They were given participation trophys, and ate pizza and ice cream after every game win or lose.
You're right. The deal PSA has works awesome for PSA. You wanted us to throw ourselves under the bus for people who made absolutely no effort, or said nothing in support? We have a good deal, and it is very advantageous for everyone that works here. I've had the carpet pulled out from under me before. It's not fun, especially when you have no control.
Nobody cares how big your regional is. Nobody cares how shiny your jet is. It's about the paycheck, and career opportunities. When a PSA CRJ-200 FO is in line behind the Republic E-190 FO who is getting paid more, even back in 2012? The PSA FO.
You're a not being honest with yourself if you're going to tell me that after having done all of the math, and run as many variables and scenarios that you could think of, that you would not have been happy with the PSA deal. Another regional would have done it anyway, for less. It happens every time. It might have been Skywest, it might have been Mesa.
As far as management trying to ram this deal down everyone elses throat well the ASA/Expressjet guys voted no which is basically what Skywest Inc wanted so now they have an excuse to shrink them. Bedford literally said what is true, the economics don't work for growth. Who else? Eagle? PSA had to "unscrew" the nightmare that the EGL ALPA guys put into the minds over at AAG as far what kind of deal they might get. EGL ALPA tried to sell out new hires with a b-scale, and that was an issue for PSA to undo. I could go on. What's happening at Eagle didn't have to happen, but due to gross incompetence and maybe even negligence the pilot leaders there ended up in a very undesirable position. The amount of good and opportunity headed to Eagle was lost because the pilots there couldn't see the forest through the trees. So now two of the "big regionals" are all looking at a year or so before they get another deal?
What a mess. This isn't mainline. This is a stepping stone job for the legacies for the vast majority of us. The last ten years are behind us. You can hang out with the bitter lifers, or you can move on, and win. Which brings me back to my earlier thought that a lot of new regional guys don't understand the difference between winning and losing thanks to their rotten helicopter parents.

Yeah being paid at the same crappy pay rates and sub-par work rules for at least another year with no retro pay makes a lot of sense Envoy, I don't know what else to say. Great example of a pilot leadership failure.

Envoy only pays like 60-65 hours guarantee. That's a good chunk less money, and the per-diem isn't continuous? I'd go look at your CBA, but I'd rather just go find this link for you...
PSA Airlines | Open Positions
... come on, fill it out Bzzt. You know you want to. Noone will care, it's all in your head. You'll be a captain in a couple years, or less. Have you heard the flows from Envoy to AA mainline have been slowed to 15 a month. Come on now...

PsA is canceling vacations and the 4 a month "flow" until december. You guys might being filling class lately but that will stop.
The 47 cr7 are not leaving Envoy because PsA told AAG they can't staff it.
You just want everybody go there so they don't shrink PSA like it will happen eventually.
Thanks again for being the low of the lowest.

PSA also has a new Director of Training.
PSA was authorized by AAG to recruit in DFW from ANY airline, specifically including Eagle Envoy or whatever it is called.
PSA has been putting over 50 people a month in class.
PSA has simulators in Cincy, Charlotte, and next month in St. Louis as well.
PSA is probably over 700 pilots by now.
PSA maintenance already has a plan to bring in the two different types of CRJ-700s that Eagle Envoy operates in order to keep stores costs at a minimum along with the current CRJ-200s and CRJ-700s and newly arriving CRJ-900s of which the ground work for the 40 CRJ-900 options has already been laid on top of the 30 CRJ-900s already coming.

At the time of the agreement it was the same ratio of pilots to those leaving as at EGL. Per the agreement the number must be renegotiated or increased in the future as the company grows. A flow through and/or interview is truly worthless unless a seniority number is assigned.
