The Useful PSA Thread

Piedmont attempted to stop all agreements like the PSA deal immediately after PSA signed bc they knew they would be placed in that position as well and with half the fleet timing out in 2 years, knew what would happen with a vote. Bill Sprauge, the former ENY mec chairman LAUGHED in the PDT negotiating committee and mec vice chairs FACES. The same PDT delegation got virtually the same response from EVERYONE at all the ALPA regionals in the room that day. Why do you think they didn't sign it?
You have no idea what you're talking about. Don't believe me?
Give you their contact info and you can ask them. They're still furious at national and Bill.

So why did you go to PSA and support the undercutting of the industry and our profession as a whole? Even if you weren't there for the contract vote, you and every other PeaSAnt are telling airline management that your are basically a piece of **** and are willing to take mediocre, undercutting contracts in order to fulfill your SJS.

Think again. It's already happening. Why do you think AAG delayed the transfer? Ask yourself, why does PSA have that puny SSP when Envoy has a true flow. One interview, 6 years, transfer to AA as soon as your number comes up. AAG knows Envoy is capable of flying much more than we already do and we've shown great D+0 and A+14 lately. Why does AAG trust Envoy to take the CRJ in and out of ASE on a daily basis? When you come up with the answer to these questions, you'll have your answer as to why you'll likely but stuck with flying the 200's around for a lot longer.

AA delayed the transfer to allow PSA to catch up with staffing. Envoy has a true flow because Envoy has a higher percentage of senior pilots earning too much. Get rid of the expensive pilots for new cheap ones. AAG doesn't trust Envoy to fly in and out of ASE it's just cheaper than retraining a whole other pilot group. To think PSA won't get the CRJs because Envoy can staff them is stupid. They wouldn't have given them away in the first place if this was true. Whoever is cheaper will get them and right now that is PSA. How do people not get that this is about who is cheaper for AAG. No pilot group is better than the other. Envoy is not some magical group of ace pilots that AAG only wants flying into ASE. I have jumpseates on just about every airline in the U.S. from Delta to Envoy to Southwest to PSA. Any pilot group thinking they are superior to any other is kidding themselves. You all have good and bad pilots. The fact these forums are filled with high school fights all day every day proves that we all have a bunch of immature man children flying people around and making decisions that could kill a lot of people. So please listen to me when I tell you, whether you're Envoy, PSA, Skywest, Delta, American or any other airline, you're all for the most part retarded. The people in charge will give the flying to who ever is cheapest to them. I hope none of you are ever my pilots.

Just so you know I have read some of your post... You're part of the problem as much as the PSA haters if not more. You make the majority of a good pilot group look bad by being immature and annoying. I want to fly with you as much as an Envoy pilot does.

We'll who elected you president of the internet? And why should we care about your opinion any more than any one elses? What is your real name, you are going on my report.

Also the vote didn't pass on me being the president of the Internet. I got the popular vote but not the electoral college, so you're ok.
And I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours.

You guys need to get over this blaming people who joined after the vote. I'll use myself as an example. I joined PSA just over a year ago. When I joined PSA was still receiving the first batch of 900s. Why did I join PSA? I was from the general area as two of their bases. The only other close airlines were express jet and go jet. I went to the one that looked like it had a future out of the three. In training we got word of the Envoy 700s then shortly after training they announced the order for more 900s. As a PSA pilot I didn't sit one day of reserve. I got weekend off within 2-3 months. I will have my 1000 hours shortly and will be upgrading just over the one year mark with no prior 121 time. AA is not where I want to end my career so the SSP is not an issue for me either. So if you want to tell me I'm ruining the industry for making these decisions go right ahead because I got to bypass all the roughness that is normal regional life. I'm not trying to brag I'm just trying to say ragging on people for choosing quality of life is not fair. A lot of regional pilots had to indur rough lives to pursuit their dreams but that doesn't mean you should hate on others that chose an airline that let them avoid that.
