Skywest is about the only regional carrier even remotely qualified to do this. I would call them ALMOST but not quite on par with Envoy. Besides Envoy and Skywest, I'm not getting in the back of any other regional's aircraft flying into ASE. Too risky.

Now as for the DEC's I feel bad for those dudes, the second oil goes back up next year and they decide to sacrifice the 50 seaters in order to keep your 900's flying during the staffing crisis I am pretty sure that will trigger a displacement bid? And won't that be a shocker for those guys getting the boot back to the right seat. But well done, hiring 100 DEC's this summer was quite an accomplishment. Last real FO class was what, end of May. I think you are right on target with getting your 60 new pilots a month you need in order to keep those final 16 options coming you way.
Left field? Yes. Do a search of displacement bidding. I believe our contract is online so you could read it and you would know what triggers a displacement bid.
Proud? Yes I'm very proud of the people who work here and this airline.
What are you proud of? Misguided, ill informed opinions of things you have no knowledge of to begin with?
Is recruiting harder than it was a year ago? Of course it is. We still have 61 more airplanes coming. Is there another airline with that many on the way? Why don't we offer incentives? We haven't needed to so far. Will we? It certainly is possible but not today.

Do you know we have hired hundreds of pilots who were flying CRJ's for 10, 15 or 20 years? Most classes were over 7000 average hours.

Interesting. They may regret their decision. Why not apply at Envoy and be at AA in 6 years? One interview and then an easy transfer over to AA. They should have dropped by our wildly successful ORD job fair this past week. Amazing amount of highly qualified guys who realize what Envoy has to offer. The line was literally out the door. Smart people are realizing that the quickest path to AA lies with Envoy.

My popcorn is popped and I'm ready to watch the airline have a staffing melt down sometime in the future. It might take several months, but it will happen. Right now it's calm before the storm. The attitude of not needing additional incentives to attract pilots proves how behind the power curve things are.

I'm sure Republic does just fine with the Q400 in Aspen. I wouldn't hesitate to ride on that flight at all.

I agree...
All THREE need to be offering A LOT. If they want 78% of all AA hires to come from us, PSA needs to join the club and start bulking up NOW and not be playing catch up....

Lol. Whatever.

I think you meant at UAL and DAL the classes were over 7000 average. How come so many don't have the time to upgrade with all that experience? Must not be very smart either to start over at the bottom of a regional with that much time..

SkyWest operates in and out of ASE far more than Envoy does... your Envoy cheerleading gets more pathetic by the day.

Yes, it appears that SkyWest and Republic are the most experienced at the field on a daily basis. Hmm...
