“Would you like to see some pictures of my babies?” I foolishly said yes and was treated to a giant photo album of her cats. Cats in hats. Cats in costumes. Cats being silly. Cats crowding the bed. A cat training to use the toilet. That was a very long airport sit.

On many of the plans I fly, there is a moving map display or one they can access showing position and arrival time...but they still call.

Happened to me personally as well. Although the difference in ground training was longer than a week. She didn't actually ask that though, just ranted about how we only went to training for a few weeks longer than her anyway etc.

One flight attendant told passengers after a Detroit to Savannah, GA flight that they were now in the Central Time Zone. I told her Savannah was due South but East of Detroit if anything and she said "yeah, but it was a long flight so we must have changed at least one time zone and Central is the only one next to Eastern." Her head would have exploded if she ever went to Halifax.

One FA asked me how Alaska can be so cold in the pictures when it's so close to Hawaii.

To be fair, I don’t think I could do a F/A’s job no matter how long the training was.
Maybe a prison guard or lion tamer, but not a F/A.
