I agree. I don’t think a DFW base would be out of the kindness of DP’s heart either. Come to think of it... I don’t think anything AA has done was out of the kindness of their heart. I don’t see how stating a rumor that has plenty of evidence to back it up warrants a GFY.

To the OP, try to ignore the Kool-aid pushers from all of the various regionals. Do your own line by line on pay, work rules, bases (commutability, cost of living, etc), training department quality, union MECs, etc. Look at the complete picture when you make your decision on where you want to fly and get your regional time knocked out.

Yeah, sure, and I'll bet you guys get some nice friendly waves flying AE tail ships in and out of DFW. Whether you have only ten guys from 2013 still around is irrelevant. There's a reason why, of three wholly-owned, the PSA pilot group was approached for raises first, and it isn't just because recruiting was suffering.

I don’t usually get into the “eff PSA” arguments, but if what you’re describing happened and I was at Envoy, I’d probably hate you guys. I can see why the Envoy guys aren’t happy about that idea.

We are all on the same team here. Let’s be professionals on all levels. Infighting and hate will do nothing for your cause. Next time you want to throw hateful comments, think to yourself, “how is this going to help me”, other than temporarily making yourself fell better by knocking another down. Instead pursue constructive means of accomplishing things. The news is, anger and hate will accomplish nothing.

Get Envoy planes reducing staffing needs in DFW as fleet plans get shuffled around forcing displacements/commutes to LGA/ORD/MIA and then open a base in DFW using the very same planes that you got from Envoy? How can that even remotely be considered anything but at their expense?

As far as PSA taking over Envoy in DFW... that is not the rumor. The rumor is we may be merging with or taking Mesa’s flying. We both operate CRJs. We operate roughly 140 airplanes with almost 2000 pilots. Mesa operates almost 20 MORE airplanes with only 1200 pilots. Something is at play. Don’t worry. Envoy is completely safe in DFW. Especially with them undercutting the entire industry with their low wages. (Sarcasm with eye roll).
