I won’t hang out with any females alone while on a layover, flight attendant or first officer. With the litigious society that we live in, I do my best to ensure I am never put in a situation where it becomes a he said, she said scenario. It’s sad because I have flown with some really great crewmembers, but I believe in the preservation of my career over doing something fun.

For all of the reasons stated above, no.

I agree with this. It's not so much a FA thing, it's a male with female thing. If there's three of us out in public, fine. But never one on one and never EVER in private.

LOL! This is the person who I guarantee will be the talk of the crew room when it gets out what's has been going on. Seen it many times!

No, and I wish that weren't the case. The Me Too nonsense makes it too dangerous to spend time with an FA outside of work.

Oh man, that guy had a single drink with the flight attendant at the hotel bar with dozens of witnesses, didn’t say or do anything creepy and walked back to his room alone! The horror!

The guys that always seem to get “victimized” by the metoo movement are the same ones making “innocent” jokes and giving “friendly” hugs.

Don’t touch, don’t make stupid jokes, don’t put yourself in sketchy circumstances and you have nothing to worry about.

Some FA’s are genuinely bat**** crazy and vindictive. We had a pilot in that exact scenario. One drink at hotel bar, went back to his room alone. A week later gets called to HR accused of rape. FA hooked up with some rando in the hotel and for reasons unknown, falsely accused the pilot. He eventually got his job back, but went through some serious hell before he was exonerated. It’s just not worth the risk, no matter how well you “think” you know someone.

I won’t set foot into an elevator alone with a female. Nor do I ever sit or stand next to one on public transit or engage in any conversation. It may seem a tad extreme, but I’m naturally extremely introverted and avoiding unnecessary chatter with strangers suits me just fine anyway. No I don’t sit there in stony silence ignoring the first officer I’m flying with. I do have the ability to work with others. 😃

Sweet baby Jesus! I'm not sure if this thread is more pathetic or hysterical.

For the one who won't set foot in an elevator alone with a female; maybe you're better suited to living in the middle east.

I simply will NEVER place myself in any situation that can remotely lead to any accusation of impropriety.
