While I do tip, I understand and dont judge those that dont. I dont know their situation, and usually when you tip on something, it's because you chose to have the extra service. This is not a choice for us, this is company provided transportation. My mind says tipping is irrational, but society has me trained to do otherwise. I'm a sheep lol.

And remember that the company is providing you money for tipping in the form of per diem. Not that anyone would - but if you asked the company if they expected you to give a tip they would say yes (but when do airline pilots ever do anything that management asks of them right?) :-)

I rarely tip van drivers. Sorry but you don’t get kudos for driving a van
I handle my own bags.
Besides, I have 2 babies at home and a wife who works just to help cover child care costs.
We’re struggling just as much to keep afloat as the van driver.
The customers shipping their goods, the amazon boxes or car parts in the back of my aircraft don’t tip me, so how can I afford to tip anyone else when my average take-home pay is around $60k.
Between rent and utilities...
Food costs...
Car insurance on two cars..
LIFE EXPENSES...
Well you get the idea.
I have a family of 4 to look out after on a limited income.
I rarely tip.

Wow, you are so out of touch with reality . You yourself, bring in 60k take home pay. Try googling the average and median household income . What do you think that van driver makes ? You don't think van drivers have life expenses and families too ?
Give me a break

Chances are there are passengers that make more than the pilots. Are you on them for not tipping? Cause it’s the same scenario.

Van Drivers, are typically tipped, so we tip them. They rely on that money to make ends meet.
