Tipping Van Drivers
#283
Depends on your employer. When it’s just you and the other pilot, your tipping practices aren’t exactly discreet. For me, $2 is an appropriate tip for a safe ride with little to no curbside waiting. I’ll let them lift my bags if they insist on it, but I’m strong and healthy and not too proud to lift my own stuff. I don’t tip for lifting my things, I tip for punctuality and safe driving.

Y'all need to watch the youtube video casually explained on tipping. Way more entertaining than this thread

Never worked in the service industry then huh?
And remember that the company is providing you money for tipping in the form of per diem. Not that anyone would - but if you asked the company if they expected you to give a tip they would say yes (but when do airline pilots ever do anything that management asks of them right?) :-)

Yup, that's the video but it's better than seeing grown adults bickering over dollar tips
