Been waiting since Aug 8. Couple of guys in my class have been waiting 3-5 weeks since their PC's.

WOW! I might have to if I have to wait that long. Who knows maybe the wait will be down by the time I get to that point, if not Ill probably have to take your advice.

Ok I will only ask this one more time, sorry to ask so much. What does everyone recommend for a headset on the saab? I am currently debating between the david clark anr, the bose x, and lightspeed anr. I found a bose x for 750.00 so I am just wondering what I should do. What kind of headsets do they have in the plane? Are they pretty good, or should I get my own?

Yo, there's NO way what anyone has been waiting since August 8th for IOE. There's more to the story. That's almost 3 months. My wait was 8 days, and all guys are about 2-4 weeks. If you're flexible, you can request IOE out of any of the three bases and that can make your IOE assignment faster.
I'd be careful with the attitude that having over a month off between your PC and IOE is a "vacation." Ask the check airmen and they'll say that those are the guys who are way behind the plane because most haven't reviewed the flows and callouts. Just make sure to stay on top of things during that time off. I find that the quicker I learn things (i.e., cramming) the quicker I forget them!

Saab vs. CRJ... two different worlds.

The wait that everyone is speaking of(I assume) is on the Jet. That's why people are getting the time off. Saab guys, no such luck.
