Was talking to a check airman today in STL who is here doing sim rides.....time from LOFT to IOE for FO's is up and down from 2 to 3 weeks. Time for CA upgrades is 2 days!!

I use a DC 13.4 with the kit and one 9-volt will last me an entire month of flying here.

I installed the kit in my DC 13.4 over a year ago and it works great. If you go this route I highly recommend the AMP cable and auto shutoff battery box. The 9V battery would last about 2-3 weeks flying Cirrus and Arrows. Hopefully I can make the battery last a month in the Saab.

Battery life seems to vary by brand. I have found that the Duracell copper top gives me a solid month of flying in the Saab. I run it from the start of the After Start Checklist until the Shutdown Checklist.

Well the sims are both "working" but had some problems with the C over at Earth City. Did 4 sessions down here and heading back to MSP tomorrow to finish up. Some are doing all lessons, checkride and LOFT down here though. They are having some problems with the crews who have Flight Safety instructors not teaching the calls and profiles right....check airman had to discontinue one crew's ride because of it, but they are working it out. The sims in MSP are much better, I'm glad we are going back up there to finish.

Anyone know what the 200 lines are like? How long on reserve? Is it possible to bank the 100 hours a month? Thanks!

They still only have 2 CRJ200s, but it's soon to be 17. They're adding 2/month. Mesaba maintenance is configuring them as they arrive.

I'm in week 2 and the impression I have so far is that they don't have enough people to fly these things. All of them will be based in MSP flying routes the same (I believe) routes that Pinnacle flew with the planes. Reserve time will be short if any. I'm worried about how long I'll sit before IOE (maybe 30 days) , but after that....we'll easily bank near 100 hours. That's the impression I have any ways.
