Just curious for any of you XJ veterans....have you really ever witnessed a "service monkey"?
We were discussing the needs of the handicapped yesterday and we were told a story involving a "service monkey" that was trained to hand the person at the gate the ticket out of the passengers pocket and then proceeded to buckle the passengers belt once they were on the plane.
I gotta get me one of them monkeys.

I remember the service monkey went beserk and escaped in the old Golf ramp in DTW. That monkey got a spanking, "Bad monkey!!!" HA Ha
Keep up with those study groups, they are key to your success/stress relief. Make sure you invite the local guys to the hotel to study as well. It's challenging for them to go home and not get distracted by daily life. Just an hour or two makes a world of difference. It's two months of trying to drink out of a fire hose, but the hard work will pay off. Use that training department, they WANT you to excel.
Welcome aboard!!!!!

Well looks like CRJ9 in DTW is going fairly junior now.
We made sure we invited local newhires come and study with us all well in training. Youre right, it does seem to be harder for them to concentrate with being at home. Group studying is definately the only way to go.
It will all be worth it. Flying the SAAB in real life is way more fun than the sim as well.

The absolute hands down best bag for the Saab is the Pelican 1510 (even better with the optional Pelican 1519 lid organizer). It is indestructible even when dropped from chest level out of the back onto the ramp. 100% waterproof for when they leave it out in the pouring rain or spray deicing fluid on it, or the fish crate breaks open and soaks everything in the cargo hold.
Just get a J-hook and screw it to the bag, epoxy over the screw and you have the best of the best for the Saab!

It does fit in the bins of all the NWA mainline aircraft for commuting or deadheading purposes.

something with anr... bose x, those new david clarks etc... if you do use something without anr i recommend putting ear plugs in with the pnr headsets, i've flown with a few guys that do that.
