It looks like only 8 invol furloughs for August 4th. Sucks for those 8. However, I'm right behind you. Dreading the day the furlough letter comes.

On a side note I find the title of this thread the ultimate irony due to the full cycle for better and worse(it could be Mesaba Furloughs/Displacements or Mesaba...?....?....). Overall things have been better here the last couple years and there is still alot to be thankful for when you look around. Hopefully every one can realize its a marathon and not a sprint even the furloughed guys.

There's a good chance those displaced won't be on the line and bidding for their 'new' positions until September. Thus, only 8 invols on top of the voluntaries for August. You're right, the math is spelled out in the reduction notice...

What is happening from the reduction notice is that plenty of people are going in to training. As that progresses, then there will be further groups of furloughs.
Only the company knows what the timing for all of this will be. They've never been all that great at communicating. Remember how we all found out about the Saabs from a small town Arkansas newspaper?

I'm not contradicting you. I'm just stating that it doesn't seem to be August 4th for the rest of us. We've yet to get any furlough letters for that date.

I was going off the August bid packet for the invol furloughs. The bottom 8 don't have slots. Everyone knows the 39 number from the reduction notice as well as the 100-110 that we were all told about. No one is trying to argue numbers. More to come.
