So, no final #'s on exactly how many they are going to furlough. Is that how it works? Monthly reductions and one day they will say... we are done!

pretty much, there may be a realignment at the end of the process as well.

It's not really ever "over" or "done" until they start recalling or hiring again.

We don't know how far this will go. Delta seems to have their "cut" blades nice and sharp these days.

Funny, I think the same thing of MEM. I declined to upgrade there earlier and I would take the downgrade/furlough before being sent there. Too much of a pain for me to commute there and I won't be moving anytime soon thanks to this housing market.

This could definitely be a bad thing. However, I am impressed that the company released this info to us before we found out through a local newspaper. Honest communication is something that the company lacks. I wonder if Delta came to Mesaba and said, "we are dropping these eight cities". I wonder who's idea it was to go to the DOT and ask for subsidies. If it was Mesaba, then good job for fighting for the cities.
