Where is this memo you are referring to? I did not see it on Mesaba website. Are they going to release Saab CA seats also for the next vacancy notice?

The XJ memo could very well be up in the crew rooms but hasn't made it onto mymesaba yet. Which is odd, because usually it happens the other way around.

It is on mymesaba under XJ memos. It is right above memo 08-78.

effectively there are no more Saab seat locks, only the 200CA's (after the next vacancy) and any of the FO's that jumped FO seats earlier this year.

Supposedly almost all the growth is going to MEM.

Do you think alot of MSP and DTW SF3 CA's will go to MEM to get on the 900? Or will it most likely be MEM SF3 CA's? The memo says only 6 MSP CRJ CA's will have their seatlocks released on the next vacancy to fill the new 900 slots.

If you look at the past awards, historically people do tend to favor their own base. But I guess it all depends on each person's wants.

Some Saab captains may move base to go to the jet but probably not many. Either way it is even less likely that guys already on the 900 will move bases so I'm probably stuck at the bottom here for years....

Im trying to do some mental number crunching figuring that guys outside of MEM probably won't go there even to get on the 900. Im wondering how junior it will wind up.

According to my calculations, at least by March or April, May to mid June 07 hires should be able to hold CRJ9 CA seat either in MEM or DTW. This is based on things staying the way they are today. I suspect MEM will remain relatively junior.

With the new merged list between DAL and NWA out, it does not look good for the flowthrough to resume in 2009. That means little or no attrition at the top.
