ST's a nice guy, but I don't think he'd spit out information like that at a FA interview. More so, I don't think he's priveleged to that information. When I was hired everyone was asking the same questions (why are you hiring so many? Are we getting more aircraft? etc...) and his simple reply was he isn't told what to hire for or why. He finds out about deliveries/flying just when everyone else does. His job is simple, and from why I can tell he's good at it...recruit and hire.
On the pilot side a lot of folks assume there is more flying coming for us to hold on to our 100 or so pilots that we're fat on right now. Half time lines and extended TOWOP are also in the final workings between the union and management. As great as it would be to have them, I would assume the additional flight attendant hiring is just due to attrition.

Does anyone know when aircraft 457 will be out of paint. It should be pretty soon. I'm looking forward to seeing a saab in the new paint.

Just got an update email from Mesaba HR, no plans for classes anytime soon. He did not give an update on how long or when they anticipate holding any classes. Good luck guys and keep swimming!

Well, since I was thrown into the pool at the very end I decided to upgrade my raft. It now has a canvas to keep me out of the sun and out of the rain, installed Direct TV with the NFL package, and had Tim the Tool Man Taylor install a recliner with a built in refrigerator and toilet.
