Just wondering if anyone in the pool thinks anything will happen with a class date at the end of this summer...

I would be shocked if there was a class starting this fall....we have people sitting reserve that haven't touched an airplane for over a month and our lines are pretty slim right now. Most of our sim instructors have been sent back to the line or are on their way so that isn't a good sign for growth. There is a reason why we are staying fat but who knows what that reason is but we would need a big increase in flying for us to start thinking about a new hire class. I know a few of you in the pool and can't wait to get you guys flying the line here at XJ!! Keep treading water!!

Sorry poolies/really junior guys, I'd guess there is a better chance at a furlough than more hiring in the next few months. Though I really don't see either happening..... More TOWOP's and if the half time lines ever happen should keep furloughs from happening. In fact I'd guess that half time lines will actually be too popular and end up denied for at least some people.

I'm at the very bottom, the last 900 class. I flew around 50 hours last months on reserve. This month looks the same, and this month I'm on CDO reserve. Traditionally CDO reserves gets little flying. I know guys in my class that went to Memphis that have lines!!!!!!!

I heard MEM is short on 900 FOs, too bad they won't release the seat locks. I am a 200 FO that would greatly benefit moving over the 900. Easier commute from Nashville. Question is, would it benefit the company?

I know of a couple of 200 guys who would love to move to the 900 in Memphis. It would be nice if they would get rid of the seat lock. It would create some movement and take care of the short-staffed situation on the Memphis 900. Doubt that will happen though.
BTW...has anyone seen the new pics of 901 on MyMesaba? What's with the crooked pictures? That's annoying. Hold the camera straight! haha...

We are short on the 900 in MEM? I'm on reserve (P2), and this month I have only flown once.

Yeah, I went 3 weeks without flying. The only assignments I ever got were three straight days of AM ready reserve only to be called on the last day of the reserve stretch, 20 minutes before being released, for a stupid FNT turn. On that note, I just got a 2-day assignment just a few days ag o. I've flown only 11 hours this month. It's ok, though. I'd rather not work and still get paid the same.

I'm guessing the staffing is closer to required on the captain side. That and we are much more likely to call in sick. And apparantly the end of last month and beginning of this month many were....
