Thanks for the help submach and won'tfly4free. I was a little worried about my name being the last on the seniority list when/if the axe were to fall. I feel a lot more secure about my job now.

Any that say 'AIR' are operated by other carriers and can't be listed on? Can I list for KLM flights? Its turning out not to be as easy as I had expected. Its free guess I can't complain too much.

Also, if I don't know what flight I want to come home on when I am in another country, how can I list for the ride home? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Welcome to the wonderful world of non rev traveling as an airlink employee... it is kinda tough (as compared to other airlines I have experience with) they def. dont make it easy to check loads and list. The RTC and buddy pass fares are the same, which is not cheap by the way.

Okay to answer your questions.
"How can I get out of a city w/o NW service? I can jumpseat but can I get an ID-90 or ZED fare for my friends going on the companion pass?"
- You for sure can jumpseat, if it is domestc you will have no issue. If it is international you will have a hard time finding a company with an agreement with XJ. Your friends will not be able to get a zed fare on another airline with your NWA flight benefits, not even a RTC.

"Why can't I list for all the NW flights on the schedule? Any that say 'AIR' are operated by other carriers and can't be listed on?"
- You can list for any NWA, 9E, XJ, or Compass operated flight. That flight can not be a codeshare operated by Delta, KLM, CO, or any other skyteam member. If you are having issues listing on a NWA, 9E, XJ, or compass flight call reservations 1800 225 2525 and they will have no prob listing you. I'm not sure what you are talking about with the "AIR" operated flights??

"Can I list for KLM flights?"
- Only with a ZED Fare, no RTC or buddy pass. Only wife/husband/dp and I was not able to list a parent with me from AMS to Rome last year, I think that is still the same.

Hope that helps a little bit. If you want to list a friend for one of your buddy passes the easiest way is to do it over the phone with a reservation agent, as most of the airport staff have been outsourced and will have no clue how to do it. Even the NWA employees at the hubs will have a tough time helping you out.

There are lots of good cheap flight cases on ebay. I got a new leather one size 18 X 8 x 14 in for $60.00 And does anyone know of how many jepp binders I will need in the 900 to hold all the plates I'll be issued?

Two would have done it a few months ago, but the revisions have since added quite a few charts for alternates and other airports we're starting service to. You can still get away with two 2" Jepp binders, as long as you don't put the Airport Directory pages in with your charts. I have an additional 1" binder for my Airport Directory because personally, I like having it seperate. If you want to mix the directory in with your Jepps, as many people do, you'll need three 2" binders now.

Yeah man, you just need some binders for plates and charts. Just make sure you get the 2" so you can throw your AD stuff in with each airport you fly into.

Any catalog case (any office supply store) that fits works although I can vouch for the sparco. Some the handle rips off but the only reason the last one was retired is five years on the saab did it in. This is the one I bought. Sparco Catalog Case, Top Loading, Dual Locks, 18"x8"x13", Black. Haven't tried it on the CRJ but I assume it will fit I'll find out next month.
Submach hit on what I feel is the most important feature of a flight case... the handle, or more specifically, how well it is attached. I went through two cheapo flight cases, both had the handle break off. Sounds like the Sparco is good... the office depot $20 special is not. I agree though, don't go too crazy on the top grain leather blah blah blah's. Flight cases I've seen do not wash the dishes or mow the yard, they hold charts. The goal is to spend as little money (without having to replace them constantly) on them as possible. One good option is to pick up a used case off of one of these pilot forums.

Thats what I figured, but there's nothing wrong with asking. Thanks for the tip!
