That would be nice to help mitigate the layoffs but I would suggest until they are delivered, painted, and on certificate to plan as if they are never coming.... Look at just a few months ago with the musical 900's to see why I say that.

The 200s are NOT inefficient if they're flown on the right routes.

The inefficient comment was somewhat tounge in cheek . Trying to get a few chuckles anyway...

And I see what you're saying Avroman, just wishing that's all.

Yeah but does anyone care? Seriously, does it matter at all when they are getting rid of SAABs that they can get multi million dollar government grants to fly? Who ever makes these decisions probably doesn't care the least bit about efficiencies. Whatever they make their decisions on is beyond what we will ever know.

If your talking flow backs we only have 13 spots available for flowbacks. And according to my source (ya like I know anyone in the know but good delta employed speculators) hiring in December.

It is good to hold onto the dream . .. obviously something big would need to happen between now and then for that to happen. Sitting fat 100 people now and losing 10 aircraft makes me think there is bad news on the horizon. Of course I would LOVE to be wrong about that

They'll just do what Mesa did to us. Take the estimated number of block hours for the next year, and divide it by the line value they desire. In our case, it was 85.

Add some reserves to that, and you have your number. In our case, it was about 200 less than we had.

PBS is a dangerous animal. The only pilots I have ever heard speak highly of it were Skywest guys.

I have heard from management types that 200s can make money if they are deployed in the right market and XJ 200s are making money.
