Okay, I see your point. And its a good one. I bet its an uneasy feeling being the only one of anything in a large room of your peers. But even though I applaud you for that, it still doesnt change the facts.

I never had the money to live in any of the richer districts, although I lived in Virginia Highlands, midtown (by mistake, you know), and Howell Mill. I noticed racial differences of course, I am not blind, but thought little of it then and even less of it now. 97.64% of the people I had contact then and now were not only free from racial preoccupation, they were actually nice people of differing backgrounds even when given an opportunity to be cruel. This is my experience and it is not fantasy, nor am I wishy washy as a person. You may be another race and I may be this one, but if you are nice to me I will always be nice to you and that's the way things were in Atlanta. My opinion once and for all is that racial differences among men are far less important than the individual character development of the same. I was never mugged, ripped off, or mistreated by anyone of a different color, or any color, at any time. I saw thugs doing things on occasion, caught one trying my door in the middle of the night once, once had a musical instrument stolen from a public locker, and read about them in the news, but inner cities are all that way. Atlanta is my favorite town and I know what it is to live there, since 1967 when I was born at Emory Hospital. Check your racial misgivings at the door. If you were mugged I apologise for your misfortune, but don't confuse a thug with a town.

I start class for shuttle next week. What can I expect in terms of reserve? Sorry to change the topic but the "i love/hate atlanta" fistfight isn't helping anyone.

And please dont think up north is even better. They just arentin your fae about it. At least down inthe south I know who the racist are. They fly the rebel flagas and are ptroud of it. Up north, they shake your hand and smile at you and once youturn your back, they stab youin it.

Dint get me wrong.I gre up in the military. Il ove all people, but I also live in a world of reality.

Yes, Atlanta is pro black. Why? Because of attitudes like yours and comments I have rad on this board. Stereotypes.

First of all, are all of the typos and misspellings intentional? I could barely even understand what you wrote.

Second (from what I do understand) you're saying all white people in the South are all about waving rebel flags and lynchings? YGBFKM!!

Thanks for proving just what an ignorant bigot you really are.

Get rid of the United Negro College fund? If you think we live in an equalized society, you need to open your eyes. I wish we could but we are not there yet. Just look at this thread. I guarantee if I took a poll, everyone would know who Jimmy Doolittle or Chuck Yeager is, but if I asked who Benjamin Davis of Charles Anderson they wouldnt know and theae were important Americans just like the former I mentioned.

Now you think I am an angry black man. Iknow I know. But really you dont know anything about or my backgroung. But you will judge me nonethe less because its easy. I went to an Air, inc seminar last weekend. I was the only black guy there. Now to you that means nothing. Its no big deal. But to me and many others it is a big deal.

The United negro College Fund is there to help qualified students get into colleg ethat may be financially unable. And guess what, white people have gotten scholarships from this organization, but of course I wouldnt expect you to know that since you just judge them from what you see on the news.
We don't know about Black aviators? Thanks for yet another "cracka stereotype", bigot.

United Negro College Fund? Because we OWE it to you, right? Bigot.

Yes, we crackers get all the scholarships. This statement in and of itself proves your bias. If you think the UNCF is the only organization that gives money to black students, you sir are the one who is only looking past the end of his nose.

Your posts smack of entitlement and bias. I think you have proven for us by the chip on your shoulder what I was saying about Atlanta.

Let me get this straight (no pun intended). You're decrying stereotyping and bigotry in your town in the same post you make an anti-homosexual comment? So it's a mistake to live in Midtown? I guess EVERYONE in Midtown is gay, right?

Hypocrite.

Easy Nelllie. It's just a discussion, not a flame war. If you're from Midtown you're a rightful citizen and all that, but I don't want to be there and that's not racism. Chill a little. Have strawberry Krispy Kreme donut and sit in Piedmont Park, since you live near it. I first went to arts festivals in Piedmont Park in about 1970.

I really hate to interupt and change the subject, espicially since my expierence in san juan would really make us all think that racisim doesnt have to be white on a minority, but what is SA flying out of ATL? And how junior would it be.

E-170s on routes that used to be DAL and ASA. No clue on seniority.
