This thread has already proved me wrong about some things. Where I live in FL, it seams everyone is giving the middle finger to masks, and social distancing. Seems things could spring back quicker than thought, at least with individual resolve to go back to the old ways.

The metric that matters to us is TSA numbers. In the last two weeks flying has doubled. Sounds good. It went from 4 pct of last year to 8 pct. Still in the dumper.

We could have a 1000% increase of flying by 1 Oct and still only be at half the flying we saw pre-COVID. Not looking good.

I can almost guarantee there will be another national shut down, or at least shutdowns on large scale levels. I mean countries all over the world are seeing spikes after easing restrictions and from what I can see, most people are not following the directives we have to the T. All of this face mask crap on the airlines is about 6 weeks too late, as usual the airlines being like mud when it comes to responding to anything outside the status quo.

Won’t happen. The general population doesn’t care anymore. As you can see by protests in Michigan and California, the totalitarian approach didn’t work. People want to work, go about their lives, and if they get sick they’ll get sick.

I was just at a Target near MSP yesterday and the parking lot was absolutely packed. Every single row was full all the way to the back of the parking lot. I think people are slowly done buying into the hype and ready to move on with their lives

Us Minnesotans are required to stop and talk for at least 20 minutes if we see someone we know in the Target. So that just really drives home the point.

the task force is focused on reopening. Half the country is focused on sitting at home collecting stimulus checks hoping they don't have to pay rent anymore.
