AA can shrink then regrow 3 WO’s or potentially kill one and leave two intact.
You kill what’s easiest to live without today and IF needed YEARS from now, you regrow.

We can stop with the d!ck measuring contests trying to convince ourselves why were more important than the other two. Hands down, anything can happen here in the next six months. Just hopefully all the smoke about how important we are to the feed was true.

This is all speculation as well. Supposedly June will remain similar but July will start ticking upwards. The airports are already looking busier than they have been in the past 3 weeks.

to add to the speculation: AA has said they want to get rid of the 50 seaters, they did years ago. they don’t want 1 class airplanes. hell, they could shut piedmont down and the other two could easily cover the flying, 50 seaters included until they get rid of them. that’s a helluva lot cheaper than bringing a new fleet to little ole piedmont. or they could merge, or do nothing. who knows.

not just speculation, rank speculation as I said myself.
yes volumes are up! Nadir was something like 96% decrease in volume and last week or so it’s only been a 94% decrease. No one knows how fast traffic will recover. It’s not unreasonable to consider how AA might respond if 2021 traffic is half of 2019

37k. CDC cut their numbers in half last week. But you won't see that on CNN.

I guess so..? both the other WO could cover our flying. easily, between the 700/145. it could ‘be safe’ at envoy while it isn’t safe at pdt.
I guess the point I’m getting at is nothing is really ‘safe’ right now.

I think with social distancing, which the majority of the public agrees with, simply will not want to get into a crowded RJ or 737 where social distancing is impossible and air in the cabin is recirculated. I believe more spacious cabins are the future.(A32x, E175).
Right now is the best time to fly with cabins at 30% occupancy.
People will revolt and never fly again if you bring the loads back up to pre covid levels at this point in time.

recirculated? You mean constantly recycled with fresh air from the packs?
do you have any idea what you are talking about?
