lol, you are too much man. last I checked this was a forum, one in which people share thoughts, ideas and experiences, offer advice and help others through things. Apparently you take this as some sort to attack on your ego, intelligence or some other combination of emotions.

YOU may have gone through this before, but believe it or not, YOU are not the only one that reads these forums. Feel free to just not respond if YOU feel you already know this information. Also, this was posted in the general regional forum, not your regional specific forum, thus opening it up to a broader range of people and experiences. Now that was a condescending message, see the difference?

I really hope you're not like this in the cockpit.

You’re an FO at Envoy where, up until this year they’ve forced you to upgrade once you hit 1000hrs 121 time. And you honestly want to talk to people like your an expert in this industry. You are brand new. This is priceless.

huh? What the hell is wrong with people these days?

I wasn't forced to upgrade when I hit 1000's hours and I didn't upgrade this year. So, perhaps you are snooping through old posts and misread something or got confused, but your info isnt accurate. I never claimed to be an expert at anything, however I do listen to those that have been through things and try to apply it to events that I face, a concept clearly lost on so many in this thread.

When did it become a bad thing to post history to try and not repeat the mistakes of the past or to offer a different perspective on things? Why is the immediate reaction to attack peoples characters and motives? Perhaps its just the climate we are in as a society right now, but either way, pretty pathetic. I just dont understand the hate and anger in this post. The only thing I have learned is that the pilots that are so bitter in this thread clearly have personality traits I dont ever want to share a flight deck with.

Nah, people who wrote this are smarter then you and have lived through all the past lessons you spout. You do not even know what is in the LOA. You coming in here just reeks of jealousy. That’s all, carry on.

Seems like a decent compromise. I'd take that over a furlough. It has a clear end date.

Yeah no, sorry. Not only am I not jealous, but your logic doesnt hold water. If you are equating experience based off of time, well you are flawed at best in that thinking. If we follow your reasoning, we can never have opinions from new union leadership because they haven't been around long enough.

Why does my perceived inexperience frighten you so much? Maybe I do have experience, maybe I dont. Perhaps this wasn't my first gig that dealt with union labor and contracts? Perhaps you dont have a clue about me and for some strange reason are incredibly threatened by any perceived doubt someone may have.

In reality it doesnt matter, because I have spoken/listened too many people who have been through this in addition to gaining my own at this job and while working my previous career.

This clearly isnt getting anywhere so I will just agree to disagree. In this case, I hope my original post holds true, your management keeps their word and this turns out to be the best thing for your pilot group.

Maybe nobody here cares? I think that is the point everybody is trying to get across to you.
Republic has plenty of experienced people in Union work, some going back to the 80s.
