That chicken ain't half bad. Someone suggesetdd it, and I was eating for a while before I read the nutreitional info. Whatever brand I was eating had a metric ****ton of sodium in it. And fwiw, my starkist tuna pouch has less sodium (240) in a larger pouch (3 oz). None the less, point taken, and thanks for edu-macation.
As for eating Tuna in the cockpit? Maybe in the Dash with the fart dump open, but other than that, that is an activity for long sits in empty crew rooms or short overnights without time to go out with the crew.

I shop at the dollar tree! I can get 4 days of food for $12! I'm looking for a sticker to throw on the old leather case that says I SHOP AT DOLLAR TREE!

I found that if you freeze pasta, in a ziploc bag, it is just as effective as packing ice. This "edible ice" will leave you more room for other things.
Also, the big bag of trail mix from costco will easily last me a whole month.

those tuna packets dont smell bad at all in the cockpit of an RJ in flight. and if you get the flavored ones like the lemon pepper and herb and garlic, its actually quite nice. man i love those tuna packets. best invention ever to go from the can to the packet. and i know mercury and all but who cares. If eating tuna is wrong, then i dont wanna be right!

If you use an old style ice pack for soar knees or head achs, it works great for keeping food cold. Every night refill it with ice and your all set for the next day. Best part, it doesn't leak. Its easier than using zip lock bags.

I cannot agree more with NewEnglandAir, but I suggest using something like blue ice to avoid the mess with ice and melting ice. If you have a cold source, your food options increase exponentially. I know - I have to pack my husband's lunch for 2-3 day trips.
