Default Regional End of Year Salary Thread 2021

The same thread is over on the Major forum, thought I'd post one here for the regionals since their measuring stick is much larger than ours.

The intent of this thread is to help people make informed decisions, especially of this magnitude. For those that don't like these kinds of threads please, just scroll right on by.

Here is the suggested format:

Airline
Fleet (if applicable)
Payscale year
W-2 wage
Retirement/Bonus
Block hours flown
Days worked
Commuter status

I'll go first.

ZW - Air Wisconsin
CRJ200
Furlough - January and February
Year 2 FO - March 1 - November 15
Year 3 FO - November 16 - December 31
W-2: $69,635.94
Retirement/Bonus: $4900, Company match: $4360
Block: 547
Credit: 816
Per Diem: $4275
NAFB: 99 (Reserve from April - June, Lineholder July - December)
In Base

Picked up several day trips that are not counted in my NAFB. I didn't go through my records to see how many. Less than 10 though.

People.

This is a very easy way to out yourselves to your company.

Proceed with great caution.

Two things here, one is just change a couple of numbers if you’re that worried about it.

Two, don’t post things that would harm you if your identity is figured out. I would just assume that at some point it is. I know I could easily be identified, and have been by colleagues. Doesn’t bother me as I don’t post anything I wouldn’t say to the company or anyone in general.

Agreed. If you post FACTS and not “rumor mills” then your online reputation/posts can’t be questioned

While it is possible, I think highly unlikely that a airline is going to go after someone for posting their salary their personal salary information.

As long as you aren’t posting company sensitive information and saying/doing anything that is going to bring bad PR to the company or question ones professionalism. You should be fine, bear that in mind.

There is no reason they would, or a legal basis for it. None of us signed salary NDA's, all of our contracts are public record.

Where you could get in trouble is if your detailed salary info allows them to identify you, AND you have posted stuff previously (or at some future point) which the company doesn't like and violates their social media policy. Those policies are often pretty draconian these days.

Not a bad idea to modify your salary details just a bit to obscure your identity.

No disagreement there.

why isn’t this an issue on the majors forum? There is no disclaimer on that thread about concealing your identity.

Regionals are way smaller with historically way more draconian management. They always have a staffing issues to solve and naysayers don’t help.

so… easier to figure out who you are with the reason and will to do it. Harassment is the biggest risk, unless you’ve stated something really stupid in the past.
