That isn't new, the limitations/memory items test has always been a required 100%

It was taken away for a while, I am talking about the written exam, it is given during systems......I guess the last few years you were just required on your oral to know them, now I guess they just started giving the written also again about a month ago.

Possibly, I know 2 1/2 years ago when I went thorugh training it was there. Some guys I know that went through 6 months ago had it too. There was a period of about 6 months we didn't hire after which they radically reworked teh new-hire program, that led to some issues when training started again.

Also, a guy in our class didn't pass it on the first try. He got a second attempt. Unfortunately, he had some other issues later on and didn't make it.

I began training in March, and the first time we were tested on Limitations and Memory Items was on the checkride.

Hey guys - how long is Comair training? Are your "weekends" during training actually Saturday/Sunday, or during the week? When you finish training, do you start IOE right away, or are there delays? Thanks.

I just passed the check ride. We didn't do any of the departures or approaches for JFK. Some guys got the LDA in to DCA. My ride concentrated on the visual approach....As in your at 10,000' on the down wind and cleared to land.

I started in March also and never took the memory items test. In fact the most I got test on them was from my sim instructor. My oral, I got asked a total of 3 (THREE!) memory items. And one was what to do with emergency power only msg. (Which is ADG deploy) However do be prepared for non-memory limitations.

Default Memory Items

Even though some folks may not have been asked many I would make it a point to know chapter 2. I was asked a few things that weren't doubled boxed but would sure be important on a flight.

The reason they brought back the memory items/limitations test is because people have been busting the oral because of Chapter 2/Memory items. There are a few IOE captains that like to quiz you on limitations during IOE trips Just make sure you know them cold.

During ground "weekends" were Sat/Sun. During sim, it all depends on what schedule you bid. We're 3 on, 1 off, 3 on 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 4 on. (If I remember correctly without looking...) I hear IOE is about a 2 wk wait right now.
