Congrats with being finished, I'm right behind you so I'm curious as to how long you will be waiting, let us know when you get called. How was training? Any difficult spots you can identify that people might have trouble with?

In regard to the other post, apparently you fly "a lot" at Comair on reserve COMPARED to other airlines...... I guess I will see. I heard IOE is backed up a few weeks, but I am not complaing, I could use the vacation... We all started to get a little nutty that last week or so of being couped up in the holiday inn....I drove from KY to Philly 30 min after my ticket was signed..... I was ready to get out of there... Good luck, and have fun!

Training was fine, great instructors... Indoc and systems is really easy (the tests) Just keep up with the systems AFTER class is done bc I purged everything and had to go back over it all in the sim... Almost my whole oral was systems with limitations and some weather, but mostly systems, so dont forget it like I did.... During ground school the class got together a few times and went out, but that came to a quick halt when sim started. I'd say sim was the hardest part, ground school was realllly easy, and this is comming from a low timer. Had no problems in sim, or extra sims, but it was hard getting up at 3am, then forcing myself to study the rest of the day after sim.

It was 13 days for me from checkride to observation. I'm glad they went back to only 4 legs, instead of 8, 'cause the CRJ jumpseat is uncomfortable as hell. It should only be a week or less after observation for IOE. BTW, I wouldn't count on Flight Standards to call you. I would check SBS on a daily basis, cause they never called me and I'm glad I checked. Also, if you are doing observations or IOE out of CVG, they will have to provide you with a lodging (if you are JFK based)!

Flight standards is extremly busy with all the new IOE pilots so, us in scheduling have been taking alot of there calls, unfortunatly we cant help you guys. So check SBS daily cause its seems to be changing all the the time, with the IOE pilots.
