Choices, choices, choces...

Can anyone offer any input regarding PNCL, ASA, or RAH, i.e, pay, duty rigs, upgrade time, etc... I have interviews scheduled for each and I am trying to make an informed decision just in case I am offered a job by more than one company. Thanks!

Go for a company that will employ you from the start of training.
The ones that employ you after the checkride do that only to be able to treat you in any way they want without you having any rights or being able to get help from the union as you are not an employee.
Those companies will tell you that they will listen and be very open and that they have open door policy with the students. The reality is far from that.........as a non employed in training you do not belong to the "gang" and will be seen in a negative way if you speak out about anything you will feel is wrong.
Best of luck and be carful out there............

I would go for ASA for sure.................
I heard they do not leave many pilots behind.
Check the companies wash out. I'ts not always the students fault.
Companies with high wash out % has problems they do not want to do something about and it can be some sim intructors causing the problems outside the companies control........... the Sim instructors can pick and choose who is going to make it or not.
Do not let anyone play with your career. Go for them that hire you from the start. That is a guarantee that you can get help if you have any problem!!

ok, before you listen to this guy remember that at every regional that is an alpa carrier you are on probation the first year. whether you are hired at the beginning of training, or after the checkride you are on probation for a year. in that year the company can fire you for no reason, they can do what they want without cause. that first year of probation is when you need to be on your toes. at pncl your probation starts the day you start class. so if you start class on jan 1, your probation ends jan 1 the next year. and anyway, basing your employment on who hires you at first is pretty much the dumbest idea i have ever heard of. seriously,, dumb. look at the one that will give you the qol that you want. if you live in atl and not having to commute is important to you then you go with asa. if you don't care about commutes and want to upgrade as fast as possible then pncl would be good for you. if you want to have a higher hourly pay rate then rah would be good. just choose what is most important to you and go from there.
Yes, right, .....good advice wise guy.....you just trying to sell something with arguments that is only important to the guy first after he is done with training........
the way you talked about what I wrote tells me what kind you are and what regional you belong. I did not mention any person or place by name in any negative way. you did that about my opinion and open the door for me to answer........
next time you want to sell something do it without attacking somebody direct......maybe you can give your opinion in general like I do.......

The ones that do not hire from the start are the ones that try to sell you their package by telling you that you will get
-Great QOL
-Fast upgrade
-Great benfits
etc etc
anybody can be fired at any time but if you are hired from the start you have more rights even on probation that if you are a student in training that is not employed. Dont let anybody fool you with something different
If there is no difference then ask them why they do not hire you from the start.

it wasn't a personal attack on you, dont be so sensitive. it was an attack on your thinking. sorry if you cant handle me disagreeing with you. and im not trying to sell something. i was answering his question about the specific regionals he mentioned. and yes, i think your idea is ignorant. choosing an airline based on which one hires you from the beginning of training is just plain ignorant. i don't think, other than you, anyone on this board would say that is a good way to choose a regional. you will be on probation your first year, and you can get fired anytime during that first year for no reason at all. either in training or at day 364, whether you were hired before training, or after you pass your checkride. the union can do nothing for you during the first year of employment, and dont let anyone tell you otherwise. choose on what you think is important. if being hired by a regional at the start of training is important to you then go for it. just letting you know it will do nothing for you. nothing.
