Whats more of a sad case about MAG is that he left over the isuue. He sent them a resigmnation letter and they continued to pay him his guarantee for and additional year that he wasnt even there.

I have heard of that happening back in the day when they ran payroll with index cards, lol.

I know a guy who was sent TDY on reserve to some little turboprop domicile in New England...crew tracking promptly forgot about him, but payroll did not. He collected guarantee and per diem for several months, and then realized that he wasn't going to get called, so he went home. This lasted for a year...when they finally called him, he got off the hook because he hadn't flown an airplane in 12 months so he could not accept the reserve assignment They had to send him back to the sim...

Its amazing that they stay in business being as screwed up as they are. What is truely sad is that with a good business plan and quality management they could be a top level operator.

Did you hear the one about the b1900 dude that did not get a paycheck? He filed a suit in local court and got the cops to put chains on the props. of the aircraft. He was pretty much overnighted his check at that point. It was in the papers. I would love to find the article. I don't know the base or even an approximate date...

There was also the chief pilot memo that demanded pilots not stand in line for food stamps in uniform. I would frame this one for the wall.

First off, anyone that would get chains locked on the props of one of Mesa's aircraft should never have to buy another beer for themselves, ever.

Secondly, I like the idea of wearing the uniform to the state office for getting set up on food stamps. Screw the chief pilots memo. I say go for it.
