Ya know, I bet JO blames the other regionals for our pilot attrition too! HAHA! I can just hear the quote now,
"In a press release today Johnathan Ornstein was quoted as saying, 'The over-payed pilots at the other regionals are sending a false message through the industry that these kinds of wages are sustainable. This misconception has caused a mass exodus of pilots from Mesa to these other carriers. What our ex-employees do not understand is that they will end out on the street in 5-years. Unfortunately we will not take them back at that time.'"
Insert any number of rebuttals... or just laugh.

My god what a horrible reflection of the company for the 'boss' to say something as retarded as that. What an as*hole
. I am not an employee of Mesa, but just as an aviator, that really grinds mt gears

Oh but he does. I cant find it right now but I have a news article where he talks about how we are losing pilots to other airlines due to "predatory" hiring practices like giving signing bonuses (Mesa gives 5000$ for UAL experience! Sign up now! ....isnt that predatory?) and because the Majors are hiring. Wait...then why is it 80-90 a month and 70% are FO's with a year or less?

...for the record, ERJ Driver made that quote up...not that JO would not say something similar, but that quote was fabricated...

On the bright side, our billboards are helping to bring our stock price down!!! And we all know who that hurts the most!

The attrition at Mesa is an even 50/50 of FO's and CA's. And yes, the vast majority of FO's have less than one year on property...and I don't blame any of the Mesa pilots for jumping ship!

I know im going to RAH at the end of the month and most of my friends are too. I only know a few CA that are leaving here soon. Its also funny, did you see our bid for IAD 0710? 68 FOs and 74 hard lines. Its funny, they even took me off the roster already. Wonder if ill even get an exit interview.
For sure do your ALPA exit interview. We want to know honestly why you are leaving.
