Default Delta to sell Comair

I saw the other thread about us being sold again, or not yet as the last story states. But I have a question: How does Delta plan to entice someone to buy us when our flying is decreasing, fleet is decreasing, and Delta has openly stated that spring will see a sharp drop in domestic flying? Who would sign that contract and pay million$?

I can't see with that strategy how we could be sold anytime soon.

Too bad, because I would love to see us be able to mitigate our exposure to Delta's strategy by divesting across other carriers.

Thoughts????

I think DL may have a bigger problem with oil prices rather than Comair. I am sure the sale of Comair is still a goal, however there is a more immediate concern with prices over $100 a barrel.

Nobody wants to buy a bunch of 50-seat regional jets!

Default How many FO's quit out of JFK?

I can't tell because some names have been on the list for a year now. But I know someone on this board keeps track of the actual numbers. So if you don't mind sir/maam, how many did we lose in JFK last month for CA and FO?

The Saudis are increasing capacity and efficiency, and one of the 2nd largest deposits in the world was recently discovered off the coast of Brazil (being developed by BNP Petrobas). Hopefully oil prices will come down this year.

Discover oil is only part of the process. You have to be able to drill for it, tanker it, refine it, and deliver JET A/Gas ect.....Until the entire energy lifecycle is addressed, don't ecpect major downward movement. Not to mention the traders on Wall Street who "speculate" and are able to keep prices high. Remember the cost of a barrel of oil is still somewhere in the $40 range. But the traders have been able to speculate that demand is outpacing supply and therefore we have $100 oil. I think prices will go higher before they ever get lower.

They probably forgot...he should call them.
