I am going home and hung up the phone was escorted out, with no words of good luck or thanks for 10 yrs of service. Best day of my life. So, it doesn't suck to be a DL pilot or even a CMP guy. Those guys with be on our list at some point.

Certifited letters have been sent to those who volunteered to be furloughed - furlough date to be September 1st. I have no information for the voluntary furloughs.
In any event, it can't hurt to bid as if one wasn't getting furloughed. If you want to work, bid days off at the end of the month. If you don't, bid them off at the beginning. That way if you're furloughed mid month you're more likely to get what you want.

I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of people on reserve in September.
