Flying is a luxury just as objects at all of the retailers are. People simply won't be able to afford it when they don't have a job.
Kind of makes it feel like the whole world is caving in... doesn't it?

MESA stock is down to $0.18 today. That's 25% down for the day. Anyone knows what's going on?

My guess is with Citi laying off 50,000+ people, the whole stock market is losing and not just Mesa. But I'm too lazy to look

So I guess that vote of no confidence for DS really did the trick. Good thing it was sent to Ed as well.

Since Delta's MEC sits on the board why don't they call our chair and tell him what he should/shouldn't be doing?

MAG did SEC filing last week to increase authorized shares from 75 to 900 million shares so they can issue new stock to debt holders to pay off the $94m debt puts that can come due in Jan/Feb. As the price drops, they will need to issue more stock, which will further dilute ownership, which will drop the price and cause the need for larger amounts of stock to meet the $94m and so on and so forth in a circular death spiral.

Morninstar released another recent negative report among other things moving their price valuation to 0 from $.40 and estimating MAG burned $89m in cash in the first 9 months of '08 and will burn $12m in the last 3 months, leaving MAG with only $36 mil at calander year-end - not enough to pay the debt if the note holders file a put, hence the move to issue stock.

Because the Delta MEC is still a preturbed with what JC Lawson did and really aren't inclined to let it go. The only reason there is any communication between MEC's is due to the RJDC court ruling. No Comair employee wants to see DS take over the helm. We'd all be ****ed!
