Thanks for the info.

******ATTENTION******

Just got a phone call from a 402 operator (Y.A.T.) in South Florida (FLL)looking for a few pilots. MUST have ATP already (can't afford to get it right now).
If you are interested -Single 402 Pilot in S. FL and the Bahamas- PM me and I'll give you his phone number.

Btw, yes he does have a ton of resumes, but is only interested in people with previous 121 exp AND ATP. Also, first come, first served (4-5 only).

Hey Evil; did you ever try to get your ATP through WIA "unemployment"? I have not done it yet but I'm going to check it out.

I have tried and after being laughed at the third time, I was informed the State of FL does not have funds allocated for those programs. Here you can only get WIA funds if the vocational/technical program is in their list. I could learn how to do spreadsheets, drive a truck, or become a nurse's ass-istant if I wanted to. I even tried for the Real State license, they said no. I totally regret not having filed in NYS originally.

99.9% sure that you can use WIA in other states, just have to be prepared to tell them the reason you are using their state and to be able to go to interviews wherever you choose. Something to check out anyway.

Can't use WIA in a State unless you are drawing unemployment from them. That is a requirement.

I got approved for WIA (not for a type rating though) in Ohio although was drawing UI from KY, might just be because they were so close though.

Have also heard other stories of people getting it out of state
