Ok, here's my understanding of this issue. I'm a FL resident and was based in NY. After my furlough I was able to qualify for unemployment in both States. I chose FL because not really much difference in payout amount (later to find out that was not the case). Anyhow, I went thru all the work for WIA in FL to find out they don't finance what I was interested in. Now it is too late to draw WIA from NY because I don't have an unemployment case there. Now, If I was a resident of NY State they would supply the training money, but I'm not. Basically comes down to this simple explanation; you guys are drawing WIA funds from your respective home States while drawing unemployment from the State you were based on. If that is not correct, then please PM me with the information I may be missing.
