"REPOST" If anyone has a free momment could you check how much a buddy pass would cost round trip GEG-SAN. My sister in law needs to visit a very sick friend but i cant see how much that ticket is unless i pay the $ to reactivate, and i cant get ahold of anyone in the pass office to ask. i realize the recall thing is pretty exciting but this is super important and any help would be much appreciated

There's no way to check anymore..they took away the calculator thing when they re did travel net.

We would have to authorize a buddy pass and go through all the motions to figure it out.

Based on the old price of .034 cents a mile. And the distance of about 900 NM from GEG to SAN (obviously there's a connection in LAX) that equates to 30 dollars.

BUT

There are a crapload of extra fees that aren't really published anywhere...that seem to be added on at random, so I would bet on an extra 50 bucks to that, just to be on the safe side.

My guess, for a buddy pass from WA to SAN, via LAX would be 80 one way.

Just a guess

so this recall has to be in anticipation of mesa filing bankruptcy and freedom being removed from cvg. Why else would they. If they are still set to lose 12 airplanes next year wont this just be a temp all back only to get furloughed again in about 6 months?

WHOOPS

I take that all back, there is a calculator! (now i know)

Prices range from 80-100 one way, with today as the travel date, and all have layovers in SLC

Plus those who were furloughed on 11/1/2009 are coming back.

That's the 55(ish)
That's not necessarily true. There are 23 voluntary furloughs that are all senior to the 11/1/09 furloughs. If they all accept recall (highly highly unlikely) no one from November will return.

Unless I'm missing something?

Good question, who knows? There is a real possibility that no one in the GO has any idea either. They are just doing what they area told.

Also, why is there a picture of DS next to the announcement. Am I supposed to equate his photo with good news? As if he had anything to do with it.

I can personally guarantee you there will be at least one voluntary furlough who will not accept recall during this round.
