Thanks!.
Obviously you guys don't get paid block or better, otherwise you wouldn't mind waiting

It's not a matter of waiting, even with block or better at Mesaba. It's about backing up onto the taxiways and listening to ground complain and have a meltdown. There is TONS of taxi space on the "odd" side in the alley, so if there is room, ramp control will give us clearance to move around whoever is waiting, so generally, it's not a big deal. The problem is even worse on the "even" side of B/C where taxiway K parallels the concourse.

Nah, I get it. But like DiverDriver said, the majority of us posting on this thread are furloughed anyway, so we really don't give a hoot Maybe your management should get in touch with our management about these issues.

I would really like the Regional Elite turds in DTW to stop playing hide and seek with our parts for grounded a/c!

I hate to say get used to it. DTW ramp and gate agents suck. I hope Delta does something about it though. Ramp needs a big improvement and the gate agents need a huge attitude adjustment.

Well, then we might as well move Detroit out of Detroit. It wasn't a Mesaba thing and now it's not a Regional Elite thing. IT'S A DETROIT THING! By the way, they're not ALL bad. As usual, it's the bad apples that spoil it for everyone.

Bubba - why in the world would the rampers have any involvement in your maintenance/parts issues?

Probably a part ferried/carried aboard a flight in the cargo compartment for a stranded plane. Rampers unload the cargo and send the part to baggage claim or just drop it into a cart and don't take it anywhere.
