I heard it through the grapevine, but we'll just say its a good source. When we lost 1500 hours in Feb I barely held a line. April and May is going to be several thousand hours lost, then pick up some over the summer, then a big loss in September. If I'm going to be on reserve again I might as well do it in the 70/90

What do you guys/gals think here? I'm very close to purchasing a condo in NKY. The price is great, and I've got good financing for it. But considering the state of change for our company, should I go for it? There's so many things that can happen with us as a pilot group. I'm still undecided if purchasing a condo right now is a good option. Go/No go?

There will always be a risk in this industry, I have held off for the same reasons you stated and personally for me there are other places I would like to live in the country.

At least if you buy a condo, you will get some equity, you could always sell or rent should you not want to live in it anymore. If you like the area then you can always commute to wherever else.

I think Comair will be fine, we will still have slow upgrades, but I don't see it going anywhere.

While on reserve, around $500 on the first of the month after taxes, flight station purchase deductions and 401k, and on the 15th, depending on how much perdiem you get, $900-$1500ish.... (closer to the latter if you break guarantee).

Has anyone experienced a delay in the annual pay rate switch? In my previous position at Comair, it was normal for the pay rate upgrade to be delayed by 1 or 2 paychecks, then retro pay. Does this happen as well with the pilot group?

Yea, it is usually the next pay period where you are fully at the new pay rate and the 15th of the month check (that fixes everything from the previous month). The system I guess can't use two different rates of pay for the same pay period.
