It's 3:15 pm on Friday and has been yet another week without bad news. Could it be that the heralds of doom are wrong again?

There. I fixed it. Let's try to keep this thread on topic with a healthy discussion on Comair. </mod comment>

I jumpsat this morning to work and the crew said rumors are widespread that many more or all furloughs will be recalled by the end of the year. It would be nice, but as always I remain cautiously optimistic.

Anyone else hearing anything similar?

Thank You DD. the only rumor Ive heard is the same one that Av8 said earlier that one of the check airmen said all should be back by years end and possible hiring starting in November. MP had said earlier that he was unaware of anything else in the works, but than i wouldn't expect him to feed the rumor mill and only report concrete facts. Just wait and see i guess.

I also spoke with a friend of mine over at SkyWest and he said there are no rumors going around there about anymore acquisitions at this time.

Are you back on the line now Diver?

Probably none that they have heard because I have heard nothing but new rumors of acquisitions.

Ya, that's basically what I heard too. I'm not back yet, another 30 or so recalls should get me a class.
