Comair updates?
Not that it means anything, but I just came off a trip with a check-airman. He was told that the company expects all furloughs to be recalled by the first of the year, and that off the street hiring may begin as early as November. This person said that we are expected to get a large increase in flying for March/April. Don't most say the instructors are the first to get it right? I sure hope this one ends up being true! If not, carry on.

I have come to the conclusion that airline pilots and flight attendants are like Evangelist. They spout doom and gloom, and when it does not happen, when they say it will, they just say it will come at a later time.
We should just stand on the corner in some backward southern town, perhaps Memphis or Atlanta, holding our pilot contract and yelling, "The end is near! The end is near! Repent now, the END IS NEAR!"

That's a very keen observation and funny too. Do we get to self flagellate also?.

Exactly! And IF something happens, there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. We have no control over management or anything else that happens in this industry. All you can do is hope for the best and plan for the worst, do your job and not drive yourself insane with crazy rumors and speculations.
