That's good. Sunday night, some tool captain waltzed into ops while I was serving my 6 hour 50 seat sentence. He proceeded to openly tell a buddy that he just got done flying this 'great' trip he pulled out of open time. Paid like 300 dollars. As he looked over at me sitting at the next table, I shot him a really unwelcome dirty look. I think he got my drift.
It's guys like this that pick up open time, bid HI lines, do favors, etc... that cause problems. Why should Comair or any other airline recall when their pilots are pulling more than their share of the weight?! This kind of stuff just kills me...

Nope... We will all get furloughed... I think if they have a problem, they will realize it in December after everyone is downgraded. Knowing the Comair we all love, they will live with the problem until it starts costing them money and cnx flights. We might see a few recalls after that if our flight schedules dont get cut again.

Did you get his name? ALPA usually will put reminder letters in people's v-files about picking up open time, when pilots are on furlough. It was easy to see when SBS was used but now no one can tell. So we'll have to rely on word of mouth. So give them a call if you hear of anyone picking up open time.

Looks like it is still down.
Yeah, I'm way hotter than Paok
Wow, I'm sure the letters will really give it to them. I was thinking more like baseball bats to the knees... j/k. Half of the senior guys probably don't even know what's going on with the company. I'm still surprised when people I'm flying with ask me if I am JFK based. Last time I've checked we don't have a CR7/9 base in JFK, but there might as well be. The letters won't do anything and there will be guys picking up open time, so if you hear something, just give them a friendly reminder.
I doubt it! Expect more displacements beginning of next year...

You should just say yes. Tell them you usually fly the 50 but they called you to fly this 70/90 trip and thought it would be cool. And when they tell you that is not allowed you punch them in the throat.

All furloughees will be on the extended pass program once your furlough starts. All your pass riders will be able to travel, but they all have to pay a yield fare (regardless if parents have free travel days still). You will only be allowed to travel on Delta and DCI at S3B (regardless of any S2's you had left).
You still can nonrev on NWA, just call their reservation line, say you're a delta employee, use your comair number and doh and they'll give you a confirmation number. I used this a few weeks ago when it was gonna be impossible to get through ATL (big suprise) and I went through MEM instead on NWA.
