Dear Comair,

It was a blustery fall day in Atlanta, as I sit here after another lovely day of short call from home. I found myself not outside, but dwelling in my room like a cave troll in...a cave, bumbling around on your majestic scheduling software called "Maestro."

Oh it is a glamorous tool, as it bestows upon me multiple opportunities to try my login 15 times as it continually boots me out after being on for 3 seconds. Not to mention its consistent demand that I acknowledge nothing has changed on my schedule, much like the button that train conductors must push to ensure the machine that they're still awake.

But please Comair, with every little bit of dignity I have left. With every spare ounce of respect I have for this industry. If you're going to allow me the pleasure to see the green line that you have reserved for me on furlough. And further, if you're going to allow me to CLICK on said green line. Please Comair, ensure that you AT LEAST SPELL THE WORD "FURLOUGH" RIGHT *********S.

Furlogh, what is a furlogh. Maybe this is the mitigation??? Is this what the union and you have finally come to terms on? To make it easy on all of us, you've made it so it wont be a full furlough..just a furlogh.

I hate idiocy.

That is all, carry on.

Sincerely,

Disgruntled employee #171773

The agreement calls for ALL of our 50's currently being flown for DL to go to United. Delta would be MORE than happy to dump the cost of the 50s to United, and continue to grow the 70/90s.

I know you want your people off the street but we're working our ass off to keep people in their jobs here. As far as UA goes, we're kicking ass. Completion rate is sky high as is on time performance.

For the first time in a long time we are properly staffed. That is showing in our performance data.

It'd be genius for UA to breach the contract with one of their cheapest regionals, thus incurring more $ when they've already peed away almost 800 million this quarter alone.

I am a former Comair guy and I am praying for you guys to get some positive news. Comair has a really great group of pilots but the can't seem to get a break. Just keep trying to hang in there. Something good has to happen sooner or later.

Why do you thing that Delta and United are trying to get rid of MESA FreeDumb. I’m sure not because they have the best performance. Being the cheapest does not mean everything. It just means that you guys are willing to work for subpar wages and lower the industry standards. I would not be proud of being the cheapest in the industry and being a bottom feeder. Have pride in what you do and ask for what you deserve. You guys make me sick.

FlyCRJ200. I don't have any love for Mesa/Freedom. I would be happy to see those businesses go under or move in a different direction. While I don't care for the company, I don't necessarily think we should hold it against the men and women who went to work there. I think there may have been a time when many of us (including myself) would have taken a job at Mesa when nothing else seemed to be available. And the pilots at Mesa have fought to try to improve their working conditions too. My advise is to direct your anger to Mr. Ornstein.

We all have our own opinions of Mesa. And I am no Mesa supporter by all means, but I am sick of hearing the whole "Oh, IF Mesa goes under, we are going to get all the airplanes and all their flying". Of course it would be nice, and I would love for this to happen, but I don't see it. Even IF they would go under, who says DL will give it to us? We are just so dependant on Mesa going out of business. And it is hard for Comair to go out and try to get other flying with our high operations costs (pilot group). Personally, and this is just my opinion, we will end up at the bottom of this whole merger mess, and unless we can get some other flying I keep seeing this company going down hill. And I hate to say this, but I am also expecting more displacements and furloughs in a few more months...

Heard today that they are going to possibly furlough 300 more F/As. Apparently it is on the "My Job" page for F/As on Epic. Just what I heard, can anyone confirm?? Is that even possible? How many F/As do we have total?
