Can you copy/paste/PM me the email? I just looked back through mine and can't find it. Thanks! Yay for living in a mostly CHQ city

Fellow Comair Pilots,

Over the past week it has been difficult to keep up with all of the changes currently going on and also track contract compliance by the company. The only way I am aware of some of these issues is contact directly with you. If you believe something is wrong please email or call me so that we can make sure that all Contractual Obligations are followed.

In regards to Contractual Obligations the following are current issues in which I need your help.
  • Section 17.A.4 of our working agreement
“A pilot on furlough will be granted on-line and interline passes to the same extent as an active pilot for the first thirty (30) days of such furlough.”

Currently it seems as all 10/05 furloughed pilots and some 11/05 furloughees have had pass benefits changed to the extended plan already. If you have been affected by this please send me an email with the following information even if you have not paid a yield fare yet but believe your benefits have already changed.

Subject Line: PASS BENEFIT CHANGES
Information to Include: NAME, EMPLOYEE NUMBER, DATES OF TRAVEL, ANY YIELD FARE CHARGES PAID
  • In the recent pay fiasco Comair’s Contractual violations created a financial hardship for many of you. Even if you have sent this information to me I now need it resent in a separate email with the following information. Please include as much information as possible. These charges can include late fees, overdraft charges, bounced check fees etc.
Subject Line: CHARGES and LATE FEES
Information to Include: NAME, EMPLOYEE NUMBER, DATE FEE INCURRED and EXACT AMOUNT OF EACH FEE BROKEN DOWN BY FEE or CHARGE
  • Further pay problems involving credit for 10/05 furloughed pilots has been reported by several individuals. I expect Comair to have another failure in contract interpretation. After your final check if you have any questions please contact me as soon as possible so that we can look into this further.
Subject Line: FINAL CHECK
Information to Include: NAME, EMPLOYEE NUMBER, CHECK DISCREPANCY

I can not add information into the group grievance that is being filed without your help. Please send me this information in separate emails based on the information above so that I can forward it on to the correct Grievance Committee Member.

In the next few weeks you should be receiving a packet from ALPA National that will include furlough assistance information in addition to an AIR INC membership. If ALPA can do anything to assist you please don’t hesitate to contact me or any of your Status Reps. We can not help fix the problem if you do not make us aware of the problem.

Fraternally,

Michael Perrizo
Comair MEC Membership and Furlough Chair

Hmmm, just got my profit sharing check! It's definitely quite less than my last quarters profit sharing.

Anybody else expecting that on the 4th they tell us we aren't furloughed or they at least reduce the furloughs but they will wait till then just to screw with us.

I dont, i think the company is too stubborn to do that. I think they'll wait it out, and deal with it, before they admit they're wrong.

It's guys like this that pick up open time, bid HI lines, do favors, etc... that cause problems. Why should Comair or any other airline recall when their pilots are pulling more than their share of the weight?! This kind of stuff just kills me...
Did you get his name? ALPA usually will put reminder letters in people's v-files about picking up open time, when pilots are on furlough. It was easy to see when SBS was used but now no one can tell. So we'll have to rely on word of mouth. So give them a call if you hear of anyone picking up open time.

Nope... We will all get furloughed... I think if they have a problem, they will realize it in December after everyone is downgraded. Knowing the Comair we all love, they will live with the problem until it starts costing them money and cnx flights. We might see a few recalls after that if our flight schedules dont get cut again.

No I didnt... unfortunately... I wanted so much to say something to him, but was so mad, I felt it best to keep my mouth shut.

Wow, I'm sure the letters will really give it to them. I was thinking more like baseball bats to the knees... j/k. Half of the senior guys probably don't even know what's going on with the company. I'm still surprised when people I'm flying with ask me if I am JFK based. Last time I've checked we don't have a CR7/9 base in JFK, but there might as well be. The letters won't do anything and there will be guys picking up open time, so if you hear something, just give them a friendly reminder.
