looks like last week's wednesday announcement was a day early and this week's announcement was a day late.... at least on the bright side i shot a 79 on the course today

Okay, who is this Ryan Gumm guy from freedom? (Any Freedom guys want to chime in?) Can't be much worse than Soap-er! His bio. at Mesa website shows he was a Navy guy, joined Mesa in 2000 on the B1900 and was an instructor, Assistant Chief and then Chief pilot at Freedom. (He was busy in less than 10 years).

Spoilers must have been having a bad day at work...something alot of us look forward to. I'm realistic, but I don't see things as negatively as he does.

Some Positives;
-DAL's push in the STL and RDU markets (thanks Mosquito) and re-opening of Mx in RDU with OH and 9E(?) doing feed is positive.
-CPZ retaining flow-thru/back directly effects us. If flow-thru was dropped, DAL may have been forced to divest of alot of 76 seaters...but it didn't have to be from CPZ, just in the DCI system (translation; we could have lost our -900's)
-DAL does like to waste money (hiring people so you can furlough them), but why spend a ton of cash on transferring to DTW, recalling and upgrading training if they just want to bust us up? They could have just let us flounder until the new year when the fleet gaurantee expires.
-New wings for the f/a's (new f/a's would have been better)
-Bendo seems better than other NG's
-Matt L. seems to be a good MEC Chair
-I had a really good b.m. today

...so things could be looking up!

No, I'm pretty sure he spent his whole day on APC refreshing the page every 5 minutes.

Not that you ever get anything you request, as a reserve pilot, but what happened to the "Swap with self" choice on the Trading section of EMaestro? It was there last week, now it's not...are we not worthy anymore?

LAMA (Life After Mesa Airlines). Met Ryan once while I was there, and I know we're supposed to hate management and what not but he really did seem like a nice guy, real down to earth. When I was there he was the Assistant Chief at Freedom in MCO but none the less seemed to care somewhat about the pilot group.
