Yep... I think at this point, it's foolish to not be looking for other opportunities. Everything points to this place being shut down.

Not entirely true. First everything was in the building it is in now. As airline grew, Dispatch/MOC/Crew Scheduling moved to basement of Concourse C (joint FA/pilot lounge was across hall in basement). Customer Service/Flight Ops moved to 2nd floor Concourse C. Crew Scheduling moved to office park (now closed) on other side of airport. In Flight moved to Circleport. Then dispatch/MOC/crew scheduling moved to a larger room behind the ticket counters in terminal three, and old SOCC in Concourse C was turned into seperate F/A lounge.

Then big GO was built, and all departments moved in to that building.

That was way before my time here! I was out galavanting around the globe for Uncle Sam during those years. It's quaint but not too crowded here. I do miss the separation factor of the other building when it comes to managment. I've seen most of the managment team several times in today, and I've on'y been here since 13:00!

I dunno, the fact that, just this month, Delta has signed agreements with SkyWest, ASA, and Republic to fly 70-seat jets must mean Delta has changed their mind on RJs and Comair will be growing soon!

right?...

I want some of what you are drinking. haha I would think that since all of those carriers are signing agreements to take the flying that Comair will sooner than later not be needed. Wasn't Delta looking to offload some of those Comair 70s to SkyWest not too long ago?

Delta wanted to offload Comair as a whole, but SkyWest only wanted our 700 and 900 a/c. Delta said all or nothing. SkyWest walked or they made a deal to purchase at a later date.

Well kiddos, after almost 8 years, I've turned in my resignation to good old OH.

Too all you junior-to-me F/Os, enjoy 1 spot up on the reserve list.

Well, my friend, you can honestly say that today you were the sharpest tool in the Comair shed.

Best of luck. Where are you off to?
