Evening Gentleman & Ladies: In the second week of the June 2nd class and we just put in our bids for bases. I was awarded CVG however was wondering what would be the better bird for holding a line. CRJ or CR7 bid. Obviously FO for 5 years or more but want to have the best quality of life while flying the line. I'll be commuting from Chicago and don't care which jet I'm on. I understand that it could be 6 months down the line till CR7 was even an option for but wanted to know where you see the growth that we expect going to. -Thanks

As soon as you can, you can put in a standing bid for 70/90 FO CVG 100%. They just had a vacancy bid for more 70/90 FOs, so I'm not sure when the next one will come out, but the last two bid's went fairly junior.

Since you'll be CVG based, you'll probably bee on reserve for while anyway on the CRJ200, you can always come over to the 70/90 when the next vacancy bid comes out, or you can come over when you are sure you can hold a line on the 70/90. Either way, reserve seems a little easier on the 70/90.

Thanks CRJ Driver. That seems like that would make sense. Better trips on that airplane anyway. What percentage would allow me to hold a line appx. these days when it came time and how soon do the vacancy bids usually come out? I know it changes with hiring but was looking for a ballpark. Thanks again

Future growth will definitely continue to go towards the 70/90 aircraft. Like, I said, they just filled a vacancy bid for 20 more FOs. My guess is the next one will probably come out around Fall, depending on growth, aircraft deliveries and attrition. Seems like they have been building around 20 reserve lines each month. Reserve is a little easier on the 70/90, just cause scheduling has less aircraft/crews to keep track of compared to the CRJ200. Either way, you'll be on reserve for a while, so might as well do it on the 70/90, 'cause that's where the growth will be, as they continue to get rid of more 50 seater's. Just put in a standing bid for the 70/90, you can always withdraw.

Hey guys make sure you are checking your times on eMaestro. I have been shorted almost and hour and a half just in the last two days. The system also failed to caught the fact that we needed a comp rest. Good thing the FA's still use SBS and it caught it.

Ya, maestro's times differ from my SBS line last month. Picked up some EF and should be guar 80 hrs, but it is only showing like 46... I just hope payroll is seeing something that I am not, because 46hrs of pay for 80 hours of work is unacceptable.

So the half dozen times I've seen it, someone was intentionally calling me a PUnk?
