Woohoo! Looks like today is officially the first day of summer, according to the FAA.

2 AFPs in effect out there. Looks like the Chicago one isn't across a route that we fly very regularly. Unfortunately the link to the Kansas City FCA doesn't work.

I heard that in class today...but was told it will not take effect until after I have to take my EP/Limitations test. Lucky me.

what are the reserve times for JFK and CVG? And do they only fly the 1/200s out of jfk? I would imagine that they would be way shorter at JFK but would it be worth it to have a lower standard of living to get a line sooner? I have a class date of july 14 and when Art asked me and I told him JFK cause I have family in the area and also a few friends.

Reserve times are about the same for JFK/CVG, at least a year at this point. Who knows if that will change with all this hiring. Yes, only the 50 seater out of JFK.

ASA does this procedure as well, flaps ' encouraged ' not to be dropped before 200 kias to try and stem the tide of all the ' flap fail ' events. The 215 Limitations still exist, and can be used where operational neccessary.

Hi everyone! I just got hired by Comair. I have my memory items & limitations test this week (I’m so nervous, so wish me luck). I will be CVG based, so how long is reserve in CVG? Anyway, I am having problems getting to CVG airport and the training center, and was wondering if some of the Comair pilots could tell me how to get there. The I-75/I-275 split is really confusing for me and I always end up going the wrong way. I’m almost thinking about being JFK based, so I wouldn’t get lost, but how long is reserve in JFK? Can I just fly the CRJ-900 out of JFK? That would be cool. Thanks. Oh, I should have probably started a new thread. Sorry. LOL.

Yes. And electronic flight bags will be here by the end of the month and ACARS is being installed on all airplanes this weekend!

Blow up an engine and have a lot of brown paint for your nose.
